2010 Badlands Whitetail Buck

We came across this big guy along the Little Missouri River in the southwest corner of the state.  We had been hoping to come across a really big whitetail buck the past couple years while we hunted in what is predominantly mulie country.  God blessed us in jumping this monster from a huge river bottom of chest-high sweet clover.  He is a 7x6 that is 16" wide and his one G2 is 13"...his average circumference was just over 6".  Rough, gross score at just under 180.  He was the biggest-bodied deer I have ever seen...must have weighed almost 300 pounds...absolutely ridiculous.

Wow!!  A true monster!!!  Congratulations..

"When we step into the outdoors, we have the privilege of standing in the presence of God through the power and majesty of His creation. That makes hunting more than a sport or a hobby. It's a calling to something greater. And that transforms the places that we stand into something more than a cropfield or a pasture or a mountain. It makes that place Hallowed Ground."

Thats one of the nicest whitetails I've seen killed this year.  It has it all  in my opinion. Roughly how many miles from Watford City...............

Very nice buck....I've seen a few nice bucks hanging out along the river this year, but glad to see you bagged a brute!

Jimminy Cricket, that's a nice deer. Congrats! Be prepared to see more people hunting whitetails down there next year...unless you're fibbing a little about the location. Lots of Magpies out there...

I say to hell with that pot o' gold.
