The population of bullheads in Lake Darling is out of control. Seems like now when you fish Grano you can't hardly reel in fast with out snagging into them. Fished Carter Dam yesterday and it was the same. I would say I am an average to slightly above average walleye angler but when those bullhead are around the walleye seem to be nonexistant. Typically this time of year if you were to go to Grano or Greene crossing there would be several anglers. Now a days at least in the evening it looks like a ghost town.
On a sidenote, although I would love to see them thinned out by like 90%, throwing them on the shore in the rocks is not the answer. The smell and the flies make it a pretty unenjoyable fishing experiance. I say it is time to start filling 5 gallon buckets with them and bringing them down to the lake that Dean's folks live on. Bwahahaha just kidding of course! Put them in the garden!
