Camping @ Audubon (primitive)

Does anyone know the regulations to camp @ Audubon (not the campground). The campground isn't
open until May 15th.

Just speculating here but if its like any other federal government land (BLM or Forest service) you can drive 100yards off the road and cant stay in one spot for more than 14 days. Remeber just speculation here, might want to check with the Head office at Audobon

Ive been trying to contact the corp but no one is answering. The lady at Audubon Refuge Headquarters says you can't camp on the refuge (which I know is incorrect).

I think Corps Land is fair game, I remember not too long ago there was a hippy liberal convention south of Mandan and nobody cared.

The lady at the Audubon Refuge is correct. No camping is allowed on Audubon National Wildlife Refuge. See the following two links for the regulations and a map of the Audubon NWR. The Refuge is the southern portion of the lake.

Camping is allowed Thursdays through Mondays on the Audubon Wildlife Management Area managed by NDGF and is the northern portion of the lake. See regulations in the following link.
