That being said, hearings are over, well is permitted, life will go on and thank god for fossil fuels.  I am just hoping that this summer the traffic stays a reasonable distance away, travels at a safe pace, dust is controlled, and there is no BS that goes on.  I feel bad for the cabin owners up north, luckily it will just be a temporary inconvenience as I believe the tanks are set back a ways from the drill pad so once shes drilled it shouldnt be too bad.

There was never a doubt that this was going to happen. This is a huge location with so many holes being punched. Not going to be done overnight. I will forever have nightmares of a future 4th of July weekend, a parking lot full of empty pickups and trailers, lots of folks on the water, and bammmm something goes wrong on the location. The area has to be evacuated and all those folks on the lake can not get in to load. Hmmmm, hope this nightmare doesn't come true.

Seems just about as rational as putting a location in the middle of a Wal Mart parking lot at Christmas. Maybe it'll go off without a problem ever, but 11 wells, that close to the parking lot. I will always wonder just how boats will get off the water if they do have an issue. Guess you go to Parshall or Little Field and beach the boat.

About as smart as putting a pipeline under oahe.....oh ah wait! Shit ton better to have one well pad with 11 holes the 11 pads with one and hell yeah put in an area that's busy and leave as much of the quite ground alone.

Mineral right owners have laws that provide them acceses to their PRIZE!!, This will never change. Does it piss me off, YES in that situation and placement of the wellheads.

Well....................maybe you need to invite Archambeau up and all of his cronies to protest this like they did DAPL.     Is this not the same "sacred" waters as Oahe?   Or is it OK have this down south as long as it don't affect you?     Just pointing out some hypocrissy.

I love that lake and love my country.  It's going to be a wee bit inconvenient for a while and then all will settle down to the soothing hum of a well oiled machine.  I love the outdoors more than most and I've also learned that development of oil and gas, gold and silver is the sole reason I am able to spend a couple weeks on Sakakawea every summer in a quality boat and camper being towed  by a diesel drinking comfortable pickup.  I believe ND is thriving on account of oil and gas so it's a little hard slam it.  Here in Nevada I sometimes hike in to some of my favorite deer hunting spots only to find exploration pads being built,  it's a little hard to get upset over what gives me my bread and butter.  It's usually only a season of inconvenience then all reverts to the way it was.  I've been around long enough to watch my hair turn gray, my jowels grow and my interest in drama fade.
