Weber BBQ Grill

I am looking at getting a weber grill,  what is everyone using for cooking surface, stainless steel or cast iron grates and what do you prefer and why,  Thanks

I use cast iron and love it. It retains heat much better than stainless and leaves nice sear marks on my food.

That said, maintenance can be a chore, the only reason I would ever think about switching to a stainless grate is because it's kind of a pain cleaning the cast iron.

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong.

Definitely a TRAEGER! They are on sale at Home of economy!

I think my next grill will be a big green egg, or something similar.  I have an electric smoker, and a propane grill, and I think I could replace both of them with a nice charcoal setup.  I feel like I'm missing out on a lot of flavor that charcoal would provide by using electric and propane.

If you want to use charcoal get a Weber smoky mountain and Pitmaster IQ.  You wont regret it! For pellet grills I can personally recomend the Green Mountain over the traeger. Its cheaper and for the money bigger.
