Brief Report Details:

Not really a report but more of a heads up for those that aren't aware. This lake has a healthy largemouth bass population for those of you that enjoy chasing these green fish. I hit this lake for the first time last summer and was impressed. You can literally catch 50 bass in a day and many of them will be 3 pounds or better. In only 2 trips to the lake, I caught 5 bass over 4 pounds, including one that weighed 6 pounds 4 ounces! I know we don't have much of a bass following in ND but this is great place to go for a change of pace. Plus, it's just on the outskirts of Bismark. If anyone would like tips on how to fish the lake, please feel free to PM me.

So this is an electric motor only lake. So a guy can launch a boat with a gas motor and just use the electric without getting harassed, right?

Hello Steve 81.  I have fished Mcd several times and have still to learn the secret for the big large mouths.  I know there are some dandies in that lake (and I also threw back a wopper gill last year).  I do have a little bass boat, so I can access the whole lake.  I have a tackle box full of bass junk, but maybe I'm making it too hard.  I do need to learn more about the awesome largemouth though.
If you don't mind, would you please share your ideas on lures, baits, locations, tactics, etc. on McD.
I appreciate your input.
