M&P 2.0 issue

Purchased this 9mm couple weeks ago. Took out tonight. Shot about 30 rounds. 1st shell jammed after shot. Had about 5 more jam. Rest of my shots ejected strait into my face or barely kicked out to side. Shooting winchester white box. Should i shoot a more expensive shell?Anyone have this problem with this gun? My 1st pistol. So any help i would appreciate. Thanks.

Did you clean it really well after purchase? I noticed my shield had a lot of preservative oils on it and that stuff gets sticky when either heated up or gets contaminations in it. I noticed the Lucas oils CLP takes that stuff off right off.

The other issue I had was the feed ramp on the barrel wasn't good at all, I hit it with the dremmel I think using a very light stone and then polished it down to a mirror finish which helped with feeding.

The issue I think you could be seeing though could be low powered rounds as well as shooter grip, might be a possiblity with being a new gun. It seems these guns are very picky on the light ammo, maybe try a heavier grain and see if it continues(doesn't have to be expensive but maybe try something heavier than the 115gr stuff usually found in bulk)? Usually the "plastic guns" seem to take 200-300 rounds to break in and really start running smooth from personal experience.

I own a 2.0 in 9mm also, and it is a freak'n precision tack driver! No problems at all. I am currently at 300 rds and counting without cleaning (purposely to see its failure limits). I have a friend that has one, and like you, has issues.

Don't give up on it, contact Smith and Wesson... not a gun Smith, and it might take awhile, but they will make it right.
