My biggest walleye yet!

Caught my biggest walleye yet using Liquid Mayhem on my crankbait. Knowing how picky walleye can be I belive adding scent to my bait was the main reason I was able landed this fish.

Enjoy!

I have never really been much of a believer in scented baits, that said that is a nice eye, congrats.

Do we have anybody else who likes to use scents for walleye?

Don't practice until you get it right, practice until you can't get it wrong.

I know on the Liquid Mayhem Facebook page theres been some post of people catching them with scent, they have a garlic minnow scent that has been working good.

I watched a youtube video the other day of a walleye seminar that explained walleye's top two senses are its Lateral Line (vibration) and Sight, although he went on to say that they will come up and (bump) the lure to taste it and I belive thats were we always get those very light walleye bites.

I think that adding scent gives it that extra edge, Ive also watched videos of walleye and pike following a lure for 15 mins with those new underwater cameras you can tie inline with your lure.... i think if it looks and sounds good they will chase it... but adding scent I think puts them over the edge and makes them strike it HARD!

Did you see my pole just about double over in the video? That wasnt no light walleye strike hahah he nailed that crank hard!

Thats my therory on scent anyway wink I'd rather have it just in case then to not have it at all

Nice fish although I'm not sure I would post up the exact spot I caught it in a video.

Its not like its a hidden spot, pretty easy acesss, and pretty public. I've never been a fan of keeping hush hush unless its a relitivly unknow spot and for sake of the few people that do know I wont say anything. If I help someone nab a big walleye then great smiley

I'm not a believer in adding scents to bait. You would have put that fish in the boat without adding scent. Pulling crank baits is all about targeting active fish and they will hit the lure regardless. Anyways congrats nice fish and if you think the scent helps have at it
