Wasn't hot action but every fish that came thru thumped it. Small slab rap or ripping rap they didn't discriminate

Had a great day on Alkaline Lake. Three limits of mostly 13-16" walleyes with one 19 incher. Kept 8 northerns. Two about 28" and the rest from 18-23". Threw back lots of good sized northerns and a lot of 8-13" walleyes. No luck with spinner w/worms. Caught everything with crankbaits in 7-10 fow. No luck in deeper water. Biggest eyes came on perch colored cranks. 15 boats in the parking lot when we came and numbers stayed about there as people left with their limits and new boats showed up. Rumor has it that a lot of out of state people fish there but I didn't check to see what pla
Got our limit of fish today (walleyes) and released lots of northern pike. Most 15" to 17" walleyes and a few throw backs as well that were 12" range. Good fishery and the parking lot is staying clean from what I seen. Good job everyone. Chat with a few coming and going and all seemed happy and enjoying this lake. Was out there about a week ago and the week before that. Most caught on bottom bouncers and spinners but today we found jigs worked the best for us. Even used a lindy set up with a crawler and that work well. 14 to 17 feet of water is what we worked in. Lots of wind out t
Had another great day on the lake...Again a lot of small walleyes on bottom bouncers and spinners with crawlers and leeches. Limited out with 3 man limit of mostly 16 inch fish...We had three 17 inchers. Great time with buddies. Had a rookie fisherman with us today, was nice to see him catch fish.
Had a great time, a lot of small walleyes...Started out by cranking...Then went to bottom bouncers and worms.
Limited with 16-17 inch Walleyes.
Just wondering if anyone has a report from Alkaline this winter. I have not been to the lake and have just recently moved to the area. Wondering how thick the ice is? Also, what is the snow pack like...could an SUV get around? Is it worth a trip out this weekend..how has the bite been? Any info is much appreciated.
Considering ice fishing at Alkaline this weekend, but never done so. Had good luck on it in the summer. Advice on location? How thick is the ice? Danger points for driving? Any information appreciated.
