Ice is off most of the river north of the North Fargo dam. Just wondering if anyone's been out looking for cats yet, or shore fishing at all for that matter?
Went out the last few weekends on Audobaun and did pretty well in about 10-18 fow. However lately rumor has it that the walleye have been going deep. Last weekend we tried fishing in 31 fow and got a decent number of walleye, perch and one northern, but most of the fish were pretty small. Going out this weekend on Audobaun again, going to try shallow one night and deep the other night. Anyone got any tips on how deep the walleye are?
Was out on crown butte, sweet briar, and fish creek today none on CB or SB, caught a few bows on FC about fifteen inches of ice on CB and SB about ten inches on FC in ten FOW, and in forty FOW on FC only six inches half was snow too scared the sheet out of me when the auger popped through early
Tried Geneva last night with no luck. Didn't mark a single fish. Think there are way too many bait fish. Tons of freshwater shrimp in our ice holes. Tried several areas on the lake and couldn't find a fish. Ice is around 8 inches.
Fished the Heskett station from 8 to 10:45. Tried jigs and plastics and cranks, had one bite on the jig. Didn't see anyone else catch anything either. Still a nice night to be out though.
17 feet. 3 walleyes last night. Northern part of east bay. Marked fish all evening but tough to get them to bite. Perch jigging rap and orange buckshot got them.
Went out saturday for a couple hours, ended up catching 4 pike between 24-35 inches. All of them were released. Caught on tip ups and smelt using a mustad hook in about 12 F.O.W. Nice day to be out.
I was at both lakes today and not a single bite.
Both dead. Talk to one guy at Clark that was spearing he seen alot of small fish with a ton of bait on the bottom.
