WAS A PRETTY GOOD DAY 6 WALLEYES FROM 16-19" AND 9 PERCH 11-13" WAS NOT FAST AND FURIOUS
The Walleye (Sander vitreus vitreus, formerly Stizostedion vitreum vitreum) is a freshwater perciform fish native to most of Canada and to the northern United States. It is a North American close relative of the European pikeperch. The walleye is sometimes also called the yellow walleye to distinguish it from the extinct blue walleye.
Fished 18-22 ft off Totten Trail Sun-Mon, overnighted. 3 on camera, no takers. Moved house, access is getting sketchy due to blowing snow, got 4 wheeler hung up many times...but somebody has been plowing ramp so should be good next weekend. Good ice, 15-16".
Went out on East totten trail by the bar on Thursday. Caught one pike all morning. Counted 13 ice castles out on the lake. Ice is 15". Easy access with drifts here and there.
went out north of Watford city, marked a few fish. new pressure ridge formed across the driving trail, rough drive for sure. around 20 inches of ice total. be safe out there.
Went out for a few hours Saturday caught 2 largemouth bass at about 15 inches and 3 walleye ranging from 8-12 inches. Marked a lot of fish and lost a few. Ice was about a foot thick
Fished Larimore Dam on Saturday for a few hours. There were 4 of us out there, Ice was 4" across most the lake with one spot a little thinner at 3". Caugt a few perch around 6" and 2 walleyes about 5-7" each. Was good to be out.
Fishing with jigs and minnows, put in at hazelton fished south to cannonball, fishing was excellent 15-25' of water
Went out on a wpa in a small boat with a buddy. Caught our 10 in a few hours, steady action, pitching jigs and pulling cranks.
Fished from the desert ramp all the way to the barrels and only a couple Northern, never marked any walleyes on the graph, gonna be a slow fall on the river around here i believe
