Thirty minutes total for a two day limit

Here is a picture of my thirteen-year-old son and two day limit of Canadians that he took on Thanksgiving and Black Friday. My hat is off to my son as he does all the work associated with his goose hunts from calling the land owner to setting up his decoy spread  along with the calling and flagging. Oh and for the photo police the extra goose is one I watched fall from the sky while deer hunting on Thanksgiving morning while waiting for my son to finish his hunt

Maybe they're dressed but the carcasses are just laying down so we can't see where they were breasted. Otherwise, gross

I should be spearing instead of commenting this.

Plus don't mean to discourage a good hunt, but I think you would have a hard time convincing a game warden that you got 3 one day and 3 the next.  Just don't wanna see a young hunter get in trouble for something that was most likely 100% innocent.

I leave birds overnight quite often when I know I'm going to hunt the next day.  Never have noticed any ill effects.  Pretty common practice in many parts of the world to let them hang several days before cleaning.

I let pheasants hang from the next for a day or two if it is cool out

Wow, now I know why I was hesitant about even posting this picture.  My only reason was to show that even though I can't actually  goose hunt with my son due to being paralyzed from the chest down that I  could still pass on my secrets and tips that I found worked for me for the 20 years I was able to hunt.

Those of  you that criticized the photo which appears to be most  were calling land owners, setting up your own decoy spreads and harvesting your limit off geese when you were thirteen years old?

The ones shot on Turkey day were  not cleaned right away  due to having to make it to Turkey dinner, but  were cleaned the next day with the ones shot on Black Friday. Also any game warden would be able to tell by body temp when the birds were shot.

Rdaleman, I don't think I criticized anything either.  I believe I even congratulated the young man.  I just had the same thought as KurtR and cleaning birds.  If you're sore about my statement, that was not my intent.

Dont believe i was criticizing either but since your so touchy I assume its ok to shoot a limit each day for four days straight and pile them up and when the warden arrives try to explain that I only shot my limit each day sir I promise.  Plus the possession limit is 6 so if he wanted to hunt more I assume you would want to clean them and eat them or give them away so you aren't at risk of going over that.  And YES i was decoying and shooting geese when I was that young.  Congrats to the young guy on a good hunt.  Wasn't trying to CRITICZE just looking out for a young guy.
